Laser Treatments Are a Lot Cooler With CoolPeel®

Laser Treatments Are a Lot Cooler With CoolPeel®

Every time you look in the mirror, a new sign of aging adds to the roadmap of your advancing years. While there’s something to be said for a well-lived life, you’d rather the evidence wasn’t so obvious, especially on your face.

The good news is that you can fight back against the common signs of aging through laser resurfacing — this approach to aging skin is very popular, with more than 3.3 million procedures performed in the United States in 2022 alone.

The even better news is that we’ve upped our laser game with CoolPeel®, which offers advantages over other laser therapies. Here at Z-ROC Dermatology, Dr. Matthew Zarraga and Dr. Khongruk Wongkittiroch endeavor to offer skin care products and services that are long on results and short on discomfort and downtime.

Here’s how our CoolPeel laser resurfacing technology checks these boxes.

Why CoolPeel is so, well, cool

With laser resurfacing, we’re doing just that — clearing away the top layer of your skin, along with all of its signs of aging, to make room for a new layer of smoother and tighter skin to come in.

To do this, we rely on CO2 laser technologies that deliver fractional heat energy into your skin to ablate the surface. Not only does this energy remove the top layers of your skin, but the heat elicits a collagen response that lifts and tightens your skin from below. While effective, the CO2 laser treatments can be uncomfortable, and there’s a bit of downtime afterward as the layers of your skin peel away.

With CoolPeel, we can improve your resurfacing experience because we rely on a SmartXide Tetra CO2 laser to deliver very short bursts of laser energy. These short bursts are enough to target dull and tired skin without creating lingering heat that can lead to collateral tissue damage.

Thanks to this advancement, the experience is “cooler,” than other laser therapies.

CoolPeel can dial back the years in your skin

Not only is the CoolPeel experience better than other CO2 lasers, but it can also perform equally as well in tackling:

The CoolPeel treatment addresses these surface issues and helps rebuild the collagen support from below to tighten loose and sagging skin.

Less risk and downtime with CoolPeel

Thanks to the tweaks in this resurfacing technology, we’ve found less risk and minimal downtime with CoolPeel.

For example, with CoolPeel, we can decrease your risks for hyperpigmentation and infection thanks to the shorter, more targeted bursts of energy.

As a result, there’s also minimal downtime after your CoolPeel treatment—you might feel like you’ve had a minor sunburn for a day or two afterward, and your skin may be a little drier than normal.

You can address these side effects with specialized moisturizers like Aquaphor® and icing. We also recommend that you stay out of the sun for as long as it takes for your skin to heal. Then, you should use sunscreen.

If you’d like to see for yourself how CoolPeel stands out from other CO2 laser resurfacing treatments, we invite you to contact our Fort Lauderdale, Florida, office to schedule an appointment.
