What are Botox, Dysport®, and Xeomin®?

Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are neuromodulators that smooth away facial lines and wrinkles to create a younger, more refreshed look. With careful and precise injections, your Z-ROC dermatologist can eliminate lines and wrinkles caused by repeated muscle movements. Results typically last around 3-4 months.

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are injectable substances that add facial volume. You may need fillers in areas like the folds around the nose and mouth, and in your lips. If you've been ill, you may have lost a lot of facial volume in your mid-face, and the cheek area is another popular area for fillers.

Different dermal fillers are specially designed for specific treatment areas. Hyaluronic acid-based fillers, including Juvederm®, Restylane®, Perlane®, and Belotero®, are best for nasolabial folds, lips, and cheeks. Radiesse®, which contains calcium-based microspheres, is best for your middle and lower face, but not your lips. Sculptra® is designed for nasolabial folds.

What is laser skin resurfacing?

Laser skin resurfacing with the CO2 Fraxel laser removes the upper layers of damaged and dead skin while leaving your healthy surrounding skin intact. This prompts your body to make fresh collagen and elastin, the building blocks of healthy skin.

What is intense pulsed light?

Intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment is a milder form of light-based skin treatment than laser skin resurfacing, and it's often used to treat problems like age spots and hyperpigmentation. It doesn't create the same level of change as laser skin resurfacing, but it produces impressive results.

What is microneedling?

Microneedling involves making tiny needle wounds in your skin to promote your natural healing process, strengthening and revitalizing your skin.
